Customers Own Fabric

SEND YOUR OWN FABRIC

We can manufacture our products using fabric supplied by our customers, HOWEVER we do not make items from licensed fabrics.  If your fabric is licensed, it will normally have something like “For Home Use Only” written on the selvage (edging) down the side of the fabric (examples of licensed fabrics are Very Hungry Caterpillar, Disney etc).  Please check your fabric is suitable before sending it to us, to avoid disappointment.  If you are unsure feel free to email us with details of your fabric.

Please be aware that we buy new fabrics on a regular basis, if you send your own fabric this does NOT mean that the item made with it will be a one off, we may already have the same fabric on order, or we may buy it in the future.

Please make sure that you pre-wash any fabrics beofre you send them in if necessary.

For a full outer we charge £2 less than our usual price for sending in your own outer fabric.

The height (h) and width(w) are included in case your fabric needs to be a certain way up.  All measurements are a minimum needed to make the item, if you send more we will send any fabric that is left over back to you (but we may need a little extra postage if it is a particularly large piece.)

If your fabric has a pattern which needs to be a certain way up then add a couple of cm to the height, as we cut it in half and stitch it together so that the pattern is the correct way up on the front and the back.

We are only human, so you need to know before you decide to send the fabric that (although unlikely) we could make a mistake and ruin your fabric, in which case we will not be able to replace it (although we will of course refund the money you have paid me to make the garment).  We cannot be held responsible for any faults/flaws with the fabric that you send in, for example if the fabric shrinks after being washed, or developes holes etc etc.  If you choose to send the fabric we will assume you have read and agree to this.
