How to Order
How to Order a Custom Wee Notions Nappy
If you'd like a custom made embroidered nappy then you need to add the nappy to your basket and then add the embroidery separately (and or frills/personalisation/insert etc) and then checkout. When you checkout there is a special instructions box where you can add notes, for example what colour you'd like the embroidery, or which embroidery is for which nappy. For more detailed instructions on how to order see below.
NAPPY TYPES: First you need to pick the type of nappy you'd like to order. If you are unsure of the type of nappies we make then have a look at our Cloth Nappy User Guide HERE. If you are still unsure about which type would be best for you, then feel free to EMAIL us with any questions.
CHOOSING FABRICS AND EMBROIDERIES: Next you need to pick the fabrics and embroidery (optional), if you haven't decided yet then have a look at our Facebook page for inspiration, photos that have been added by customers are HERE, and photos that we have added are HERE. The fabric we currently have instock are pictured HERE. If there's a nappy you've seen that you would like to re-create, but you don't know which fabrics have been used then email us a picture of it and we can tell you. Please note that some of our fabrics are limited edition and as such, we may no longer have the fabric instock. If you would prefer to have more than one fabric on your nappy, then bear in mind when choosing that One Size nappies ALWAYS have the border at the back and Side Snap nappies ALWAYS have the border at the front (this is to minimise the chance of leaks when using absorbent fabrics like cotton). Also be aware that dark fabrics such as red Minkee and scarlet micro-fleece will tend to run in the wash, so it would not be a good idea to order for example a red and white nappy. If you are struggling to choose the fabrics and embroidery for your nappy, then feel free to EMAIL us with your ideas, likes and dislikes and we'll try our best to help you. Alternatively there are example nappies on the shop that you can purchase, these are especially helpful for people who find it difficult to visualise which fabrics will go together, and/or wish to know what the nappy will look like before placing an order.
PLACING YOUR ORDER: Once you have chosen the nappy you wish to buy, you need to add it to your cart. To purchase a custom embroidered nappy, you will need to add the nappy and the embroidery to your cart separately. If you can't find the embroidery or nappy you're looking for on the shop then EMAIL us a picture and we can email you back a link to it (as long as we have it on the shop). If you are looking for an embroidery design and you don't think that we have it already, then we may be able to add it to the shop for you, see HERE.
PERSONALISATION: If you wish to have your childs name (or a few words and or numbers) embroidered onto your nappy, then use the personalisation section HERE, you need to choose/fill in the appropriate details and then add it to your cart along with the item you would like it embroidered onto. Please note that you cannot return personalised items unless they are faulty (please see are returns policy HERE for more information).
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: If you have any extra information you'd like to give us, then feel free to add it to the special instructions box when you checkout. For example, if you wish to have the embroidery in certain colours, or in a certain place on the nappy (we normally add the embroidery to the back of the nappy unless told otherwise). If you are happy for us to choose for you then you can leave the special instructions blank, or better still leave a note to tell us that you're happy for us to change the colours of the embroidery. If you're buying more than one embroidered nappy, then you'll need to tell us in the special instructions which embroidery is for which nappy. . EXAMPLE ONE (Nappy with an Embroidery): Here's what you need to do if you wish to order this nappy:
First you need to add the nappy to your basket, the above nappy is a one size pocket and has 2 fabrics on the outer, therefore you need to add a "You Choose - DOUBLE FABRIC One Size Pocket" which is HERE.
Near the bottom of the product page there are options, which look like this:
To recreate the bunny nappy above, you need to choose the following (you can't see the inner of the nappy in the picture above, but I have chosen "MICROFLEECE - Ivory" as we recommend micro-fleece for people who are new to cloth nappies):
Once you have picked the appropriate options click the "Add to Cart" button (once you have things in your basket you can easily delete them before you checkout, if you've changed your mind). Next you need to add the embroidery. To find the bunny design above, you can either use the menu on the left hand side of the shop (EMBROIDERY>Animals>Rabbits), or use the search box on the top right of the screen (Search for "Bunny"). The bunny design above is HERE, There are no options, you just need to add it to your cart, using the "Add to Cart" button. You should now have 2 items in your basket, a nappy and an embroidery, and that's it, all you need to do now is checkout. There's no need to add any instructions to the special instructions box for this nappy, although to be on the safe side, you can always add a link to the picture above, so that we know which nappy you are tying to re-create.
EXAMPLE TWO (Nappy with embroidery on the front and back): Here's a slightly more complicated example, but the way to order it is exactly the same as above, you just need to add two embroideries rather than one, and then pop a note in the special instructions when you checkout. Here's what you need to do if you wish to order this nappy: First you need to add the nappy to your cart, the above nappy is a side snap pocket and has 3 fabrics on the outer, therefore you need to add a "You Choose - TRIPLE FABRIC Side Snap Pocket" which is HERE. Near the bottom of the product page there are options, to recreate the bee nappy above, you need to choose the following - you can't see the inner of the nappy in the picture above, but I have chosen "MICROFLEECE - Ivory" as we recommend micro-fleece for people who are new to cloth nappies, also I have left the "Size of Side Snap" option as "SMALL" but you will need to pick whatever size you actually need:
Once you have picked the appropriate options click the "Add to Cart" button (once you have things in your basket you can easily delete them before you checkout, if you've changed your mind). Next you need to add the embroidery. To find the bee designs above, you can either use the menu on the left hand side of the shop (EMBROIDERY>Sayings), or use the search box on the top right of the screen (Search for "Bee"). The bee designs above are HERE and HERE, There's an option for "Medium" or "Large" for the larger embroidery, the size you need will depend on the size of the nappy you are buying, if you are buying a small nappy I'd recommend the medium embroidery, if you are buying a large nappy I'd go for the large, if you are buying a medium nappy you can go for either, depending on how much of the back of the nappy you'd like it to cover. Once you've picked a size add it and the your cart along with the embroidery of the single bee, using the "Add to Cart" buttons. You should now have 3 items in your basket, a nappy and two embroideries, and that's it, all you need to do now is checkout. Add a note to the special instructions saying something like this: Can I have the larger design on the back and the single bee on the front, both in the middle. Can I have yellow and black poppers to match the embroidery please, here's a picture of the nappy I'm trying to re-create http://weenotions.co.uk/images/SSbusylittlebees2.jpg."
